How to use your device

Get the most from your dermaQ Sculpt.

A few small things make a big difference. Two of them solve almost every question we get. Start here.

Do and don't.

Don't
  • Use the device on dry skin, ever.
  • Start gliding before the heat has built.
  • Jump to high suction too soon.
  • Hold the device still on one spot.
  • Pull the device straight off your skin.
  • Go over ten minutes on the same area.
  • Use it every single day with no rest.
  • Push through pain. Mild pulling is normal, pain is not.
Do
  • Apply oil generously before every session.
  • Let the heat warm up for a few minutes first.
  • Stay on suction Level 1 for your first two weeks.
  • Glide slowly upward, always moving.
  • Tilt to 45 degrees to lift the device off.
  • Spend five to ten minutes per area.
  • Use three to five times a week, with rest days.
  • Stop if you feel sharp pain.
The one most people miss

Let the heat build first.

Heat takes a few minutes to build. If you start gliding the second you turn it on, the device can feel cooler than you wanted.

Here is the simple fix. Turn the heat to the level you like, then wait a few minutes before you start. Let it warm up first. Once it feels warm and ready, begin your slow strokes.

Want it hotter? Set the heat higher and give it a little longer to build. The short wait is worth it every time.

How to take it off your skin

Never pull. Tilt to 45 degrees.

The suction is what holds the device onto your skin. That is the device doing its job. So you never pull it straight off.

  1. To lift the device off your skin, tilt it to a 45 degree angle. It releases on its own, with no pulling or tugging.
  2. To stop the suction fully, press the power button first, then tilt to 45 degrees.

Three settings, no guesswork.

Heat

Your choice, your comfort.

Nine levels, all yours. Turn it up or down to whatever feels good. There is no wrong setting. Just remember to give it a few minutes to warm up before you start.

Suction

The one to respect.

Nine levels here too, but go slow. Stay on Level 1 for your first two weeks while your skin gets used to it. More suction does not mean a faster change. Build up over time.

Red light

It runs on its own.

The red light comes on by itself whenever the heat is on. There is no separate button. Keep any amount of heat on and the red light does its part every session.

Three steps, ten minutes.

1

Prep

Apply body oil generously to the area. Never use the device on dry skin. Oil helps it glide and protects your skin.

2

Power on

Press the power button. Set your heat and suction. Give the heat a few minutes to warm up before you move.

3

Move

Glide slowly upward in long strokes. Keep it moving, never hold it on one spot. Five to ten minutes per area is plenty.

Quick fixes.

My device does not feel hot.
Heat takes a few minutes to build. Turn the heat to the level you want and wait before you start gliding. If you want it hotter, set it higher and give it a little longer to warm up.
The device feels stuck to my skin.
That is the suction doing its job. Do not pull it off. Tilt the device to 45 degrees and it lets go on its own. To stop the suction, press the power button first, then tilt.
The red light is not coming on.
The red light only runs when the heat is on. Turn on any level of heat and the red light comes on by itself. There is no separate button for it.
I see redness or a little bruising.
Mild redness after a session is normal and fades fast. A little bruising can happen in your first two weeks while your skin adjusts. If you do bruise, drop the suction down a level for a few days.
The device will not charge.
Use the included cable with a normal 5V plug or a laptop port. Do not use fast chargers, they can damage the battery. A full charge takes about 30 to 60 minutes. Do not use the device while it is charging.
How often should I use it?
Three to five times a week, five to ten minutes per area. Give each area a rest day in between. Steady and gentle beats hard and rushed.
